A UI overhaul (Northern UI is very popular rn but DarN UI is the gold standard), coupled with a hotkey mod if you use hotkeys much. You'll have a great base.Īs for gameplay, depending on how familiar with the game you are, I'd start with some light quality of life mods. After that, pick either an ENB or Oblivion Reloaded (I prefer the latter). Oblivion Character Overhaul v2, perhaps a body mod (HGEC or Robert's for females, Robert's for males). I'd pick a flora overhaul (Bevilex is a good source), but stick to a single one then move on. Good major retexture packs include: QTP3 (Qarl's), the new Oblivion Upscaled Textures (with the add-ons for SI & the DLC) or maybe AmpolX's retextures (available on TES Alliance, I think).

I suggest starting with a few larger graphic mods, then searching out ones to help anything you aren't satisfied with after that. While Bevilex's guide is the standard for overhauling every aspect of the graphic aspect of the game.there really is no need to go so whole-hog with it off the bat.
